the movies I watched over Thanksgiving

I am slowly becoming a movie buff, I have always been a harsh critic.

Expelled- It made a compelling argument against the ostracizing of people int he scientific community who raise questions against the theory of Darwinism as well as pro pent the idea of Intelligent design. I did not agree with everything he said but he raised some good points. I rarely find myself on the conservative side of arguments, but on this issue I would have to agree with the good ole' republicans.

Recount
- landed on the other end of the political spectrum. This is a dramatization of the whole 2000 Gore v Bush Florida recount. This film raised some interesting questions as well. I am not trying to say that Bush stole the 2000 election, but I am saying that all the votes were not counted. Watch the film, do your research, the facts are hard to argue with.

That being said James Baker is a great lawyer and a genius when it comes to dealing with public opinion.

For those of you who hate politics, here is something you might enjoy.

Tell your friends

I decided today that I am way to smart, cool and prophetic for only a handful of people to
read this blog.

I want to have a full spread in Newsweek by the end of 2008 or I will discontinue blogging.

I wanna start selling advertising and make blogging my full time job. Wouldn't that be awesome to tell people at parties.

Random mover and shaker: So, Mr. Prestemon what do you do?

Me: You mean what do I do for a living? I post random thoughts on a web page and people read it.

Mover and shaker: Do you give any sort of advice? Like stock tips?

Me: Sometimes I give them bands to listen to, but not all that often.

Mover and shaker: And lots of people read this?

Me: Ya, pretty much the entire population of Reno.

Mover and shaker: Don't you mean the amount of people living in Reno Nevada read your blog.

Me: No, I mean literally the entire population of Reno Nevada reads this blog. Except this one girl named Gloria who doesn't own a computer, were working on it.

Mover and shaker: How do you make money?

Me: Advertisements!

Mover and shaker: Your a very close talker, do you know that?

Me: O sorry I grew up on a naturalist farm.

Mover and shaker:...................your an embarrassment to humanity.

Me: I know, it's great

See! You could make this happen, I believe in you.

The 5-0

About 10 minutes ago, I was pulled over by one of Webster Groves finest.

Usually I say very ill tempered things about cops but not this one. He was nice, he could have given me two tickets (expired license plates, and proof of insurance) but he didn't.

I don't like cops for two reasons

1) I have gotten pulled over about 6 times and 4 of those resulted in a ticket
2) Almost everyone who I knew in high school that wanted to be a cop was a douche noozel

...........................................................................but maybe, over the years these douche noozels turn into reputable servicemen.

I guess I was a pretty big tool in high school too.

Sigur ros fans

If your into the ambient, heavenly, angelic type genre, you will enjoy Kyte.

Also, I think I'm going to start a musical project with some friends of mine and I need
a female vocalist. I still love playing with the guys but I love to sing with ladies.

So if you know a gal, let me know.

Soprano preferably but Alto's are cool too.

It also helps if she dresses cool.

Also, I want to buy a delay pedal; so if you have one holla at me.

Insomnia

For those of you who don't know, I have a sleeping condition I affectionately call "Insomnia".

Most of the time, this is a huge stress agent in my life.

Today was one of those few exceptions. Registration for classes starts at 5 am sharp!

Most people had to wake up for this, I on the other hand merely delayed my sleep a few hours.

Its good to be an insomniac.......at least for today.

I think I'm gonna go get Macdonald's breakfast too!

Failure

Today, I dropped out of one of my classes (I was failing). It feels good, although now I have
another W on my transcript.

I don't know why I'm writing this other then to say, that I am not gonna be embarrassed
by my failures anymore.

I hope you can come to this conclusion someday.

I hope you know that there is this wild, uncontrollable force that loves you,......

...........some might call this force God.

Failure is an option

Brian Lee and his Orchestra

When my brother was in college, I used to come up and visit him.

Those weekends were probably the best I've ever had.

I'm not sure why, but I have been very nostalgic lately (but lately I mean that last few months).

Anyway, it was during one of these trips that my brother would introduce me to a plethora of new music.
One of these bands was For All the Drifters.....................
..............that broke up in early 2005.

Brian Lee used to play guitar for FATD and he now has an orchestra that makes music with him.

I do not know Brian, but I have this instinct that tells me he has a very good heart.

Please enjoy his music, he gives it away for free.

Politics

After this season of politics, I am really wanting to just rant and rave about my beliefs.

For now,

I will try my best to not fill this blog with political rhetoric.

Usually, I feel depressed on Sunday, but I feel good today. I have really great friends.

I am glad that I can be friends with people, now that the election is over.

I think I will post on this more often.
